What Is Depression?

Major Depressive Disorder commonly referred to as simply “Depression” is a very common and serious medical illness affecting about 1 in 6 people every year. Adjustment Disorder: Life events result in more stress than normal.

Seasonal Affective Disorder: Characterized by the onset of depression during the winter months, when there is less natural sunlight.
